Let's see what's ahead

'You know, my brother gave me my first guitar. The black Ibanez GIO I badly wanted at that time. An unforgettable and defining moment really. The thing is, when I am fooling around on the guitar, the world around me, stops. Just being in the moment, not thinking about anything else. It brings freedom of my mind. No one is able to tell me what to do, just me making choices on whatever inspires. How awesome is that?

My Journey on stage started around the end of 2013, 22-12-2013 to be precise. I Got an invite of Phil Bee, who picked up on some guitar cover vids I made which I posted on a bluesforum. I got to play some tunes with 'Phil Bee & Friends' that night, which was unreal. My first real on stage experience really.

Since then onwards I Got to meet and learn to know Ruben (Hoeke) from the Ruben Hoeke Band, awesome dude. Also enjoyed following his guitar workshops (go check out his site www.rubenhoeke.com), but most of all knowing I made a friend. He's been there when I went to some though stuff, ya know.

Started playing in my first bluesband, across Holland, discovering. Further along I got to play with Ruben as a quest a couple of times, and played as a guest with 'Johnny Laporte Live', in 2018 and 2020.

The last couple of years now I'm with the 'Doghouse Tenants'.

Let's see what's ahead.' -Brend
